I am not an expert on Brookville Walleye but here is what I know. The fry are introduced to the lake near the dam so when they are old enough to spawn, they tend to go towards the dam because they are imprinted that way. I plan to throw shad raps and flicker shad baits near the riprap on the dam in about 2 weeks as the water temp yesterday was 41. They should start to move. good luck!

Both Bass and Crappie can be caught at Middlefork
Crappie are generally small but there are some nice ones. Bass are available but can be hard to find. 3 to 5 lbs.

My father. He and my uncles would take me out with them and I remember my first bass came out of a small lake in Michigan. He was with me when I caught my biggest large mouth and miss having him around. Taught me to fish soft plastics. I use a lot of cranks and swim jigsnow.

Another spot to investigate is the flat of Templeton creek. Also fish the north bank across from the ramp at Boswell Hill. Caught a lot of small mouth there.

I like to fish the banks and flats. They only removed the buildings then flooded the roads and foundations. Fish the banks from the north causeway( Dunlapsville) down to the end of the idle zone. Get a top map and locate the flats on the main lake. In front of Egypt Hollow is good for walleye. Took me 10 years to find good spots but have had some luck at these spots. Good luck.

I think I have caught almost every type of fish in that lake except Muskie. Great spring and fall lake but summer is too much fiberglass floating around.

Summit has-been a good Bass lake in the spring. Looking forward to trying fall fishing for Walleye.

Fishing has-been slow for about 2 weeks Starting to pick up as nights cool off. If you have a boat hit Whitewater or Middlefork. Later in September Summit and Prarie Creek. Two trips to Whitewater this week netted about 20 Crappie and 2 small bass.

Whitewater state park. Union County. Fish this morning and not as good. Only 10 but we did boat 2 small bass and a channel cat.

Caught about 20 this morning trolling a blue Flicker Shad. One was 13 inches.
