I have had his complete box set for many years. Nothing brings a smile to my face like rereading those books and hearing his stories. A true storyteller at heart.
I want to thank you all for yesterday's birthday wishes. It truly is a pleasure every morning to go on this forum and hear from all of you about your miscellaneous adventures and some heartbreaks. You're all amazing people and deserve everything you wish for. Thanks again. Tight lines and sunny days ahead!!!!!!
Applegate was stocked last week with 10,000 rainbow trout. Apparently there will be no stocking of trophy truck this year but water levels are high and fishing is expected to be very good
Go to myodfw.com fishing reports and learn all you need. Updated every Thursday. Current report is that TenMile lake water temperatures are reaching close to 60° in the shallow areas and that bass are starting to transition into their spawning areas.
It wasn't voice to text, just my damn phone auto correct.
Advice from my father....... it's not the catching, it's the time spent with family and friends. It's the getting out of town and enjoying nature in all its Glory and learning to just "let it go if only for a few hours".
Boat's not ready to go anywhere yet and I'm looking to get in on some spring Chinook. Does anybody have any advice on where a person can go plunking in either the nestucca River or on the Willamette River? Equipment and technique advice would be greatly appreciated. Tight lines everyone
welcome to the stage Boa Le, Hope you have great luck and catch the trophy of a lifetime. Great response Jarhead, we need to be accepting of everybody who just simply wants to go fishing.
When I was a kid in the early '70s, my parents used to do the swap meets in Southern California every weekend. One weekend my father bought a large box of partially assembled or partially disassembled muscle car models. I spent years piecing together different parts from different models and creating very unique hot rods and customs. Wow, do I really miss those days.
Always check the myodfw fishing reports for the Southwest zone and it will give you all the information you need. I just checked it and it shows Applegate reservoir is as full as it's been in the last 10 years in March, the holdover trout fishing has been very good and is due to be stocked in the next two weeks.

1978, fishing with my Dad for sturgeon, from the bank, on the Columbia River in Oregon at Bonneville dam's Bradford Island. Dad started the day with a 2 hr battle. Finally got it to shore and it measured 9 ft 11 1/2 inches. Current retention limits at the time were that it must be between 3 ft and 6 ft to keep (36" to 72"). About 45 minutes later my pole did the jiggle and after setting the hook it took me about an hour to land. My first keeper sturgeon measuring at 5'2. That was one of the best memories of my life while fishing with my dad, May he rest in peace.
There are more birds on that side.
I looked into myodfw fishing reports and found out they will be stocked the week of the march 18th.
Now I'm hearing that general motors vehicles with OnStar is tracking your driving habits and sending the information to a data broker who sells that information to your insurance company so they can adjust your rates to match your driving habits. Technology is always keeping an eye on us. Even our phones when not being used is listening. My wife mentioned something to me earlier this week and when I went to look it up it popped up without me putting it in. Big brother is watching
