I get those occassionally even though I post nothing to cloud. I assume any message/email with an attachment or link that I do not specifically request is a phishing scam.

Plum - my deepest condolences and most sincere prayers for you and your brother's family on this loss. I know that pain first hand, and I also know the peace that comes through faith. May God comfort and carry you through this period.

Happy Birthday Rhoadda and many more to come 🎂🍦🎉🎊

Thanks to all. Had great day yesterday ice fishing with son and 3 year old granddaughter. She had fun kicking ice into holes as I tried to scoop out. Did manage to catch seven trout. Kept three biggest ones.

Caught these thru ice today. Southern Utah mountain reservoir. 12 total, kept these four (the limit). Largest just under 19". Great day, 30s, almost no wind and cooperative fish.

She’s in the Dr office now getting radiation treatment for breast cancer. Two weeks ago the Dr said it was stage one but last week another Dr said it was stage Four. It took me 50 years to find her, I don’t want to lose her now.
Any prayers are appreciated.🙏

You are both of my prayer list. Praying for God to heal Peaches and bless you both!!

I just started one last year when I bought a bass boat to help keep track of engine hours. But I also record weather data, fish caught and baits used. Hopefully it will help me on future trips; but it doesn't matter cause I follow the old adage " Even a bad day fishing is better than a good day [you fill in the blank]."

Has any of you stagers got an email from them about a payment you made or purchased something using PayPal. I’ve got my second one today! I’ve never used pay pal! Each time I’ve received it I’ve deleted it without touching anything. Somehow they got my email address but not any mailing address, P0 box or street address. SCAM???

I used to have a PayPal account but deleted it over 10 years ago. I get a similar email every month or two. Like you, I delete without opening and also report as phishing scheme.

There are those among us who believe that prayer is hooey and a waste of time. Not so myself. Ezra is out of surgery. The operation went perfectly according to the surgeon. The donor valve is a little larger than Ezra’s heart so he will be able to grow into it and if he does need further work it will be in maybe 20 to 30 years. Everything is functioning normally and as soon as the anesthetic wears off mom will be allowed to see him and pictures will follow. Our gratitude goes beyond expression. Thank you Stage family. Once again my life is blessed by being part of this.

Thanks for the update and happy to hear good news. I am a personal example of the power prayer. After CATSCAN in Oct 2022 while looking for kidney stones I was dianosed with CAD, thickening bladder wall (potential cancer) and other less significant issues. Family and friends put me on prayer lists immediately. After followup PETSCAN, ECHOCARDIOGRAM and Cysoscopy the only treatment required was increased cholesterol medication. In late Jan of this year on routine visit to dermatologist, he found spot on abdomen and took slice specimen for biopsy. It was melanoma. Had surgery one week ago to remove any residual of the spot and also three lymph nodes to check for potential spread. Biopsy results came back on Monday - no cancer, no further treatment.

After being smothered in prayers on both occasions, and after a lifetime of seeing its effects in other people, I am assured that prayers work and that God is real!!

Hello stagers,
I love French Fries. You can bake them golden brown. You can fry them or place them in a Air Frier. The crisper the better.
Here is your trivia question for today.
What do the French people call French Fries?
I'm sure that many of you know French so this should be a easy one.
I'll post the answer appropriately midnight Thursday or 00.00 hours.
Should a good number of you answer correctly I'll post it sooner.
If you're new to this game here are some simple rules.
Many of you get the same daily trivia questions that I do. If so and you remembered the answer or saved it for a quick reference by all means share your answers.
If you don't know and look up the answer then post it that is a no no. And of course if you know the answer show off your skill by sharing your knowledge with us.
Guesses are the most fun and certainly the most entertaining.

Got word this morning that our middle son David in Indianapolis had his post OP visit after surgery to restore sight in his right eye. Looks like there is no chance of him getting his sight back. Caused by a scratch playing with his standard poodle that got infected. He is a computer draftsman drawing new homes and remodels. He will be 56 in March. Pray for him as he adapts to this new lifestyle and the economic impact. Tough to draw with one eye. The depth perception takes caution and driving without his right eye is dangerous. Not impossible but depressing and debilitating.

Thanks Friends, Randy

Does anyone know of a boat cover that is truly waterproof? The cover that came with the boat (Crestliner) doesn't keep the rain out and the boat is parked outside.

Thanks for your help.

Don

Try Sealskin cover. I had one on 14ft semi-V boat that satoutside in storage lot for 15 months. When I picked up boat the cover had 10 -12" of water pooled in section between last two seats
None in the boat itself. I will not buy anything else.

Another stager, Passingby, gave me the idea for this post by saying he had used Spam on a trotline.
This year I plan catch catfish using the Jug method.
As for mentioned Spam could be used as a possible bait. I'm also considering using broiling beef. A local pantry gives it away when farmers butcher their cattle and don't want that cut of meat 🥩
I generally cut in 1 inch squares and make some killer craklins.
I was wondering what other baits could be used for Jug fishing.

Fella I met years ago in South Carolina caught big catfish (30+ lbs) using hotdogs that he marinated in dry (straight out of the box) cherry jello. Swore by it.

Good luck regardless of what you use.

I just received a “retired” St. Croix casting rod model BAC71MF. That’s a 7’1” casting rod normally over $140.00. I got it for $60.00 all in.

Thanks Jer. I bought 7'4" MH casting rod to use with linemaster trolling/jigging reel to fish deep water at great lake 3 hours from my home. Originally $135 but got for $60. Will let you know next spring/summer when I get a chance to use it.

Prayers for your son Ivey. I watched my wife’s grandmother contract it while in hospice care at my home. I’ve never had it but seeing her suffer with it was so sad on top of her respiratory issues. My understanding is it comes on when your immune system is weak and compromised. Prayers for a good outcome.

God is good and has been good to me and answered many prayers. Prayer and faith are key. May God be good to and bless all of you!!
