Hello stagers,
I love French Fries. You can bake them golden brown. You can fry them or place them in a Air Frier. The crisper the better.
Here is your trivia question for today.
What do the French people call French Fries?
I'm sure that many of you know French so this should be a easy one.
I'll post the answer appropriately midnight Thursday or 00.00 hours.
Should a good number of you answer correctly I'll post it sooner.
If you're new to this game here are some simple rules.
Many of you get the same daily trivia questions that I do. If so and you remembered the answer or saved it for a quick reference by all means share your answers.
If you don't know and look up the answer then post it that is a no no. And of course if you know the answer show off your skill by sharing your knowledge with us.
Guesses are the most fun and certainly the most entertaining.

Hello stagers, br I love French Fries. You can bak... (show quote)

When I was in Germany they were called pomme frites. When I went to Paris, it seems that they were called the same. However, I don't know if that is German, French or both. But that's what I'm gonna say anyway. Pomme frires.
By the way, I love them too. I also ate a lot of them in the 2 years I was in Germany.

I’m not a French speaker but I would have to say that is French and means fried potatoes.

I would guess fried potatoes

On the lighter side, did you know the first French fries were not cooked in France?

They were cooked in Greece.

Pun intended.

I hit the wrong key in one of my responses in my post, frires, Sorry. The first spelling I believe is the correct one. Pomme Frites.
