Why is it not so many Spinning Reels with bail "triggers" available anymore?

The trigger finger bail is all I have used for 40 years, absolutely love them. I have not had one ever fail me.
Last year I bought a new reel without and I don’t like it at all.

I’m new to the Gulfport Biloxi area and I don’t know anything about fishing down here I’m originally from Minnesota and we fish walleyes and panfish., for now I’m in Diamondhead Mississippi and I’d like to go fishing from shore or off of pier I don’t have a clue about some help thanks guys

I am curious when you say you put them in Brine exactly what do you mean by that and when they thaw out do they get pretty mushy, what is the process?

I go to Canada every sept. To fish walleye and I heard that minnows can be frozen and taken across the border, any tips on freezing minnows?
