I see SAW is enjoying himself relaxing at Tahoe getting a little exercise with his shovel. I can relate to that as my son and I got ours the same way at our cabin on the west shore there the last two Thursdays. We shoveled about 2/3 of it off the first day to make room for the next rain/snow that came in the next few days. The next week we went back to finish. We had about 10 feet on the top of the 2nd storry before we started. Hopefully I can figure out how to attach pictures for your viewing pleasure.

RJS California has enough problems with summer fires and the occasional earth quake. We'll leave the hurricanes and twisters to you guys in the south.

I was in the road maintenance trade for 37 years in the Sierra area on Donner Summit. Average snowfall in Serene Lakes subdivision was between 400 and 500 inches a year when we used to have winters. Lots of Sierra cement as they call it.

3 of us went to Fort Bragg on Monday and came back Thursday looking mostly for Salmon. Spent about half of our time trolling each day and only caught 1 silver Tuesday that we had to throw back. No kings so we spent most of our time bottom fishing and got 3 nice lings and about 20 others of various species. All good eating. Water temp was 62 degrees about 10 too warm for salmon. Some people were going out farther for tuna with varied results mostly pretty slow. Ocean was like a lake every day which you don't always see on the north coast. Came home on Thursday so I imagine the fishing there is red hot by now.

Thank you Dendo. Sounds like it's pretty spotty. We are going to Fort Bragg Monday for a few days. Hopefully there will be some there for us. If not will just have to settle for some rock fish which is not too bad either.

Looking for an update on reports from a week ago on the salmon bite in the Bodega Bay and Fort Bragg areas. We didn't get to go last time but are planning on the first part of next week. Thanks in advance for any info you may have to share.

Thank you for the info will keep it in mind as we plan our trip. Sounds like it would probably be better to just go north out of Bodega at this time. Thanks again

We are considering a trip to Bodega Bay for Salmon next week but heard that the hot bite had moved out of there possibly north in the last few days. We are thinking about Fort Bragg instead. Wondering about reports south of Bodega, Bodega itself and also Fort Bragg. Any recent reports are much appreciated. Thanks in advance.

My family has had a place at Tahoe for over 70 years and I can not remember seeing as many snow flowers as this year. We have a couple of dozen on our property. We were lucky to see one there every few years in the past.

A fellow worker of mine once said that the only good engineers were the ones that wore striped hats and drove trains. Sorry guys.

Both my dad and grand dad had 7 1/2 Scott atwaters when I was a kid in the 50 s both likely late 1940 or early 1950 models. Both were great motors for their time and helped produce many fish and good times/memories.
