We have them in our neighborhood in Tahoe
Thought I would post some pics of them.
They truly are beautiful. Deep dark red and they come up in places that the snow stays the longest. 😊👍

I read about them it sounds like they are a plant that happens like Mushrooms do. So can’t just plant them

Wow I haven’t seen those plants since I used to camp in the El Dorado nat’l Forest on the Bear River Reservoir those plants would be all over the side of the hill next to the camp site
