I don’t chirp much, cuz not sure anything I say makes much difference. I grew up in Michigan through 60-70s. On lake st Clair all Great Lake effects, flooded us too, drought too, seemed to happen on a 20 yr cycle? I’ve been a proud Alaska resident since 86’. Back then -20-40 in February for 2-3 weeks brutal. So most of us counted on February as a brutal month. This was whole state. Worked in -80 up north. 10 yrs later 10 20 degree up swing. 10 yrs another swing. Etc February rains, not always but more than ever. May drop back and freeze up. So big swing back and forth. I always said it’s a 20 yr cycle. I truly want to think so. I’m not so sure anymore. All the weather changes in lower 48. Fires tornados and hurricanes that didn’t happen 20-30 or more years ago. Got an old man thinking I’m wanting it to be a cycle. So so much for my kids, grandchildren and great grandchildren. Idk guys

Learned most in Michigan geography Michigan history. Love it. Lake st Clair still best small mouth and musky. In nation born and raised off a canal in anchor bay. Shot lots of ducks. 60-70s. Been in Alaska for 36 plus years, looking for a house swap. Any interest? 3-4 weeks. Summer I want walleye, crappie, and perch. Sick of halibut and salmon. 👍

Never bananas on boat why? Bad luck why? Always been way it is here in Alaska I’ve been on a boat no bites for an hour or more when we knew damn well we were on halibut. Ralph pulls a banana out we grabbed and threw to the sea. Moved and limited out in two hours Whether fishing or not. Never bananas on the boat! Bad karma!

Not so much a war time thing, gave farmers an extra hour, throw the questions to the true farmers. See what response is. I grew up many years ago, have lived in Alaska since 85’. We. Don’t need more sun, but I’m so used to being on same page as u in the lower 48.
