Jitterbug’s in the evening as the sun goes down.
Shrewsberry river, one of the few things I miss from living up there.
Most of the fish sold here in NC end up over seas, then sold back to us in the frozen food isle.
Those are my favorite things to eat, miss the big ones we would catch in the fall in NJ.

Is the marshes and sounds a good place to start?
Yes mostly at high tide to low, up along grass and oyster shells.
Welcome aboard, rocky point nc here.
Yes I’ve been thinking about this also, and I should be able to just remove one of the hooks on a treble, most likely the one welded on. I’m mostly fishing inshore salt water, we have more regs on what we can keep and I hate having to release a fish I know isn’t going to service.
Ok thanks looks way enough.
Ok I plan on removing the treble hooks on my hard baits, I really hate them. My question is two fold, first what type of hook is best and second can you get away with just a single hook on back of bait?
So far they canceled the spring season, last year they say we went over our quota so I’m expecting it to stay the same or get shorter.
If the skates are big enough they eat good too.
I do love some smoked bluefish, they make a great fish dip, or chunks of smoked on a salad.
Nice, if I’m correct that pier is north of topsail, if they’re there then they should be here. Thanks for the info.
