Just seeing what is everyone's favorite bass lure!! Your go to.. is it soft bait weedless craws, Rapala, spinnbait, jigs, powerworms?? What gets your rod bent...?

Mine is the bandito bugs from googan baits.. and a weedless eagle claw #3 or #4.. I found these last year and have been hooked ever since. Since using these I have, in the past 2 years, doubled my number of bass hooked and landed! By far my favorite and top ranked bass lure..πŸ”₯ Green pumpkin Purple has been my best color for action this year!

Drop a pic of your favorite lures.. let's see what yall are rippin lips with!! 🎣😎

Papa I use Eagle claw weedless before all the fancy hooks came out.

Used #1or 1/0 for wacky rigging.
Used them for weightless tubes n Texas rigged worms.

Them I got hooked n bought the SPECIALTY HOOKS 🀣

MUSTAD makes some of them.
I have only used the classic.
The weighted one looks interesting.

Stickbaits n tubes was my most productive over the years πŸ‘πŸŽ£

I've never tried none of them fancy hooks, a buddy just bought some circle hooks, so I may have to give one a shot! 🀣

Bill Plummer’s Super Frog provided me with the most quality bass and best surface blowups. Black and green (with a yellow belly). They were a lot of fun when cast into the lily pads and crawled across.

For the last couple years I've been having the most success With a 5"Yum Dinger stick worm. I fish them weightless Texas rigged, on a 3/0 or 4/0 Trokar Magworm EWG hook. It can be fished everywhere from open water to weeds to wood.

Circle hooks have their place.
I like the octopus hook.
Great for wacky rigging. πŸ‘

Well, I have to say that y’all kinda went off on a tangent as hooks ain’t lures. The question was about favorite bass lure. Personally, I couldn’t name just one lure as conditions warrant the type of lure to throw. Lately, I have been fairly successful with traps, jerkbaits and spinnerbaits. Could I say any was my favorite? Not really. If the question was: If you could only have one lure, what would you choose? Probably be a jig.

Yamamoto senko, pumpkin green 5 inch, wacky rigged. Prior to it's appearance in the fishing world, an 8 inch floating purple worm, Texas rigged. Just an FYI, I now catch mostly smallmouth. In the old days it was mostly largemouth. I expect that is more location than lure results.

I have yet to fish wacky rig, but I see alot of people doing it with success, do you use a splitshot weight or just weightless?

I fish it weightless. I let it fall to the bottom, pick it up with a rod lift, a time or two and let it fall again. I let it sit on the bottom five to 10 seconds betweem falls. If no pick up, I cast again a few feet further down the bank. 99% of the strikes are on the fall or when laying on the bottom. I rarely get a bite on the lift. Most bites are seen as line movement rather than felt. Bites often come just a foot or so from the bank.
