I used to work on tugboats and when we tied up to a dock I used squid jigs. Always fished under the lights of the dock or deck lights on the tug. This time of the year is great. Flipped the jig out and worked it up and down. Check with a bait shop or sports shop for the color and type of the jig of the day. If you are going out in a boat just look for the other boats deck lights. Bait boats are out at night jigging for them. Good luck

Try flasher and herring or hoochy. Follow along with the other boats parallel with the beach.

Fishing off the north jetty for perch and salmon works . Clams for perch and buzzbombs for salmon has worked for me. Duck Lake is great for perch, bass, and trout. South Jetty at Westport works for perch, cod and salmon also.....ask at any fishing shop for details. Check out the charter companies for a great day! Have fun, Steve

Hi again....Now is the time for getting Surf Perch along the Washington coast....
Try fishing off Twin Harbor State park, use a double hook set up with a 4 oz lead and 30” up a 18” leader and clam or shrimp bait and then a 12” leader with the same bait above that. Look for an overhead view of the park. Fish where the drop off is the closest to the shore. You will be able to see it on the map. There is a place to park down a dirt road off the main road through the park. Check U tube for info. Off the jetty atOcean Shores is also a good place. At low tide you can get razor clams for bait and eats. good luck..Steve

I am going fishin’ and ponder your post.

One 42-gallon barrel of oil creates 19.4 gallons of gasoline. The rest (over half) is used to make thousands of other products. Although the major use of petroleum is as a fuel, (gasoline, jet fuel, heating oil), and petroleum and natural gas are often used to generate electricity, there are many other uses. Example…. All plastic is made from petroleum and plastic is used almost everywhere.

Asphalt used in road construction is a petroleum product as is the synthetic rubber in the tires. Paraffin wax comes from petroleum, as do fertilizer, pesticides, herbicides, detergents, phonograph records, photographic film, furniture, packaging materials, surfboards, paints, and artificial fibers used in clothing, upholstery, and carpet backing. Individual Americans, on average, consume petroleum products at a rate of three-and-a-half gallons of oil and more than 250 cubic feet of natural gas per day each!

Welcome from a new guy also. I have lived here inWashington for 75 years and from what has been answered so far I couldn’t add much. Good luck on your fishing trips.Be sure to post some pics of the triploids you catch. Take care, Steve
BTW...Be sure to check with The state website to make sure triploids are even in the waters you are about to fish. They don’t always stock every lake every year.

It will clean everything from funky engines to carpets and car seats. Don,t use it on car paint unless you have a buffer. It has a tendency to make the paint kind of foggy. It will buff out like new. My wife owned a detail shop for many years and used the stuff a lot. It will make the cork like new. Good luck, Steve
