Try fishing tackle stores. Lol ok at local paper for fishing reports. Listen to local TV and Radio fishing reports. Look at Woods and Water magazine. Lake Hernando or Rousseau reports. Both are good fishing. I use buzz baits and rattle traps as well as plastic worms when I'm there. Live bait such as the big shiners with balloons for cork fished next to grass. Buck Brey wrote the book on shiner fishing in Florida. I had the privilege of meeting him years before I saw his obituary in Bass Master Magazine.There was a motel named fins and feathers in n Dunnellon fl.

Fish with the grass not against it. Try weightless trick worms, weight less yum humdingers or Yamato sinkos. Zoom horney toads on the surface. Swim a 1/32 or 1/16 zoom speed worm like a spot nmer bait. The grass does off in the fall in these areas minnows are the bait fish . It dies off closest to shore try a jerkbait in these areas as well as a worm this die off should be soon as the nights are cooler. A Spook also works in these areas
