BossFish, heard report of resident stripers in the bays being caught and some small blues in the surf.
Hey Buckstar, welcome. I’m a little south from your area. I fish from the surf, bays and ocean near Sea Isle City.
Nice work Danger! Glad the boat is running great! Ocean looked like glass on Friday. Not so much today.
As OJ said, braid is much smaller diameter. I use 20 to 30# on my surf rods, which allows me to spool more line at a higher # than equivalent mono. I also find my knots on the braid are stronger.

Caught another today fred….along with some nice snapper blues…
Danger, my daughter brought another one of those in yesterday in Sea Isle. Nice fight for an 11 year old!
I caught a 15” or so that looked just like that last week in Sea Isle. Baby thresher based on tail.
I personally like the palomar. Quick to tie and very strong.
