If you’re fission from the bank, the dock is probably the best spot too bad you don’t have a little canoe to get up in the upper side because that’s where the best fishing is in the lake

You talking about the dam, u can still get there if u don’t mind walking

any favorite spots ??? i have fly fished with a float tube in the past, but will be fishing from shore this time . ..

Try the dock n cast out towards the middle often they like to hang out. When they’re there u will see them rising. Also the where the water run into the lake is good

any tips on fishing baum lake with bait or lures ???
limited to bait or lures, pinched nerve in shoulder severely limits fly fishing . . .
better to fish deep or with a clear bubble ???
thanks . ..
bruce . . .
santa rosa . . .

Power bait with a Carolina rig set up usually works well there. They will also hit mouse tails

Thinking about going there In a couple weeks. Last time I went it was slow too, but managed to get a couple from shore. Took a lot of trying different baits before I got hook ups though. Finally they hit a mini jig. What do u use for the blue gills

I’ve had success fishing spoons, retrieve slow, look for rising fish. Often can see them from the dock or the picnic bench at the point from parking lot

It was the first time I heard or seen the fish in the post. It kinda did have a blue hue to it.

Amador is the only place I’ve ever heard of to have blue trout. Would love to have one on the end of my line. Nice looking fish 🐟

Thank You, trout are beautiful fish. I think sometimes location can have a factor in what shape the fish are in

I use a variety of baits. I almost never stick to one bait unless the fish won’t stop hitting it. Got fish on salmon eggs, night crawlers, power worm pink, and a dark red spoon.

Took my buddy fishing last week at Bartlett but we just had two dinks. Got him back on Saguaro today to see if we could do any better. He out fished me. Check this one out. Catch of a lifetime! 10.4 lbs.

Thanks for the info. I’ll be looking in to the campground. Never heard of kangaroo lake I’ll check that out too.

Beautiful mountain lake, worth the drive n always good fishing. Small lake n kayaks r allowed. Often u will c a bald eagle catch a trout when the lake is stocked up. They have a fish cleaning station, day use free picnic tables n small campground. Pm me if u go up there
