There was a post in Facebook yesterday someone caught a 11.5lb blue trout using powerbait from the bank. They said they fished by the spillway.

11.5 lb Blue Trout. I think it’s a special breed that lake Amador raises

It was the first time I heard or seen the fish in the post. It kinda did have a blue hue to it.

Amador is the only place I’ve ever heard of to have blue trout. Would love to have one on the end of my line. Nice looking fish 🐟

Spent the day Sunday4/21 at Lake Amador. Very few trout caught by everyone trolling. Water 67.5 ^ temp. Vis. 5' light green. Not many bank fish also. Got a few Bluegills enough for dinner. Bass bite was not there. Maybe the almost full moon had something to do with the bite being off.

Thinking about going there In a couple weeks. Last time I went it was slow too, but managed to get a couple from shore. Took a lot of trying different baits before I got hook ups though. Finally they hit a mini jig. What do u use for the blue gills
