Leaving for Table Rock Lake tomorrow and going to stay at the State Park. I have never fished this end of the lake, any suggestions around the dam area and surrounding areas?
Usually when using a spinning reel you use lighter line normally 8lbs. If you hook a really big fish or it gets in weeds or grass you have a greater chance of your line breaking. With braid or 14-18lb. mono or flouro you have a better chance of getting it to the boat. So a bait caster is normally recommended.
If you are fishing a rocky bottom and getting snagged a lot try bouncing your bait along the bottom instead of dragging it. This works for jigs and worm fishing pretty well.
Has anyone been crappie or bass fishing at MTL in the last few weeks? I am going there on the 19th. of this month and just wondering what it’s like right now.
