Might be good to see what my boat might be worth . sale adds ok . just not too many . how about a new column . charge us to place the add. In my opinion.
The Gunnison right by the town is a flat river all the way to Blue mesa . from the east of Gunnison is Tomichi creek . years ago I call ranchers along it and got access to it . Stay on Hwy 50 past Parlin and Doyleville about 30 miles is public access, before Sargent it's on the right side of the road . it was great years ago, but it is overgrown now and easy to miss . its 3 hour's Plus
You have probably fished the Crystals river by Redstone It's great.
Takes me back , I was 9 years old when I helped a lady land her 5 lb northern pike . She was fishing off a dock at our resort . hooking up with the northern, she was able to bring it to shore . It's Hugh mouth full of pointy teeth stopped her from picking it up . My dad had showed me how to handle that fish . She was so delighted to be able to show her husband her fish when he got back . He was on the lake with his buddies . To show her gratitude I was given a kiss , Dame she had long legs!! I love northern pike.
Hi if you go past Montrose to Delta take Hwy 92 to Cedaredge over McClure pass on 133 to Glenwood springs . The Crystal river runs right along 133 . there are lots of places to turn off by Marvel and Redstone . good luck
Hay Guys . This is what floats YOUR boat . Friends who offer advice . Friends who have been there done that . just friends sharing info . I was hoping for good input . NOT concrete . too many negative posts . I did goggle it , Styrofoam does degrade after 500 years . I was asking if after 50 years it turned into a sponge . I hope I never swamp my boat or flip it over , but it would be great to know it might not sink ? I got 2 one way road sign made of aluminum 15" by 5' . no more plywood. In my opinion.
I am replacing the plywood on the bench seats in my boat. Should I replace the Styrofoam flotation encased in that seat ? Does Styrofoam degrade? Help please.
Hi haven't fished it this year. Last year the three small coves on the west side were productive. Throwing spinners works great . The lake gets stocked so lots of 8 to 10 inch rainbows . If you want to eat them night crawlers work. I am not good at bass fishing can't help you there. Years ago I was trolling in front of the marina catching small bows . I had another one on , wanting to get it off and back in the water I reeled it in fast. As the fish was boat side I saw a huge fish following it I flipped the bail and let it dive . The line tightened and I set the hook . After a comical 5 minutes the 26" brown was in the boat we were in the rocks at shore . Well this was in April ice had just come off and they were hungry . might be slow in July. Good luck.
Thank you great post. Wish I had more photos .
Ridgeway had a yearly bass tournament ,but the only bass I have caught there was 5" . April and May are good for large browns. Stocked rainbows 8" to13" are plentiful. Good luck .
Sorry I haven't been fishing yet. Bloody bloody wind .
Sour grapes ! Catching 30 + fish on an outing is a great day.
I once went to Harvey Gap res. In colo. I hoped to catch some northern pike . as I pulled up to the res. Colo. Fish and game were there stocking the lake with trout . I cussed , I was there for the pike. Just saying .
