Hey everyone. Got to Texas yesterday and went in to see my Mom and surprised her while she was eatin dinner. She knew I was comin here but she didn't know I was here yet.
The look on her face was priceless. You're really here... You're finally here. Look.
I'm SO blessed to still have her here. Even though I know how she must feel that she's just tired of bein here and she would really like for the Lord to call her home.
It will happen at her appointed time as it will for all of us.
Until then, I'll treasure every day I have to spend with her.
I'll be leavin shortly to go have lunch with her. Later guys.

The moon, seen from the Arctic Circle, between Russia and Canada. It only lasts a few seconds, but it's worth seeing. It's a spectacular sight. Imagine that you are in a location between Canada and Russia and suddenly and for just 30 seconds, the moon appears in all its splendor and disappears before your eyes. It looks like the moon is going to collide with the earth. Even more impressive AND for just 5 seconds, a total eclipse of the sun takes place. It's unprecedented and spectacular!

The video was shot in REAL-TIME. The phenomenon happens at the “perigee”: the closest point of a heavenly body’s orbit around the Earth, where the proximity of the moon is so evident that, suddenly, we realize the great speed at which the Earth is moving. This effect is only visible once a year and lasts for just 30 seconds… Astronomers figured out those exact 30 seconds and had the cameras rolling. Fortunately, they had a clear sky. Amazing! Watch this happen on the video. Total sun eclipse is ONLY 5 seconds.

This doesn’t last long but it’s one of the neatest things I’ve ever seen. I wish I could have seen it live.

Good morning. 59° and really foggy. (Insert fog horn sound here) Supposed to make it to 70° later with only 20% chance of rain. Total mixed bag of jobs today. Dishwasher install, meet with excavator for gas and water lines, pond pump issues, and a furnace service. Not sure if I should wear work boots or a wet suit today....

I was watching a show on the Travel Channel about places to visit. They were showing pictures from Switzerland when the Wifey walked in and asked "What's so great about living in Switzerland?" I said "Well, their flag is a big plus."

Let that sink in for a minute, and have another cup of coffee.

Good Friday morning folks. Heavy storms early this morning kept the sleep process in the closet. Still looking at showers and storms today with a high of 80°. Just looking ahead, next Friday, it'll be September. The year seems to be flying by!!

Have to do a gas well and service line inspection this morning, then service 2 furnaces, meet with a customer to go over job details, and if time and weather permits, work on a pool heater.

Need to spend some time in the garden when the rain quits. ( probably tomorrow) Have to get potatoes out and pick tomatoes.
