My better half is getting very good with her quilting but not surprising she is from a long line of quilters.
The blocks are hand sewed. And she machine quilted it freehand and with with rulers.
She used 10 bobbins of thread in this quilt and their is 210 yards of thread on each bobbin. The squares she used a ruler all the feathers she done freehand.

Very nice work, I remember my Grandmother and her friends doing a quilting bee when I was young. The ladies would work all weekend to finish a new quilt. I'm still sleeping under one of those quilts.

Beautiful Mike. Give her my congratulations on her work of art.
My grandmother also made quilts.
Bring back memories of my childhood.

Outstanding. As the long time husband of a dedicated quilter, I fully appreciate the work.
Back to fishing: my wife tells me to enjoy my extended fishing trips, as she gets together with her quilting friend (wife of my fishing buddy) without me under foot. It is also easy to say needing one more lure is like needing one more piece of material. A tackle box of unused lures vs. a wall of unused material.
On the very positive side, the passion to quilt is having a very strong influence on her recovery from her stroke. she is back at the cutting table, if only for short periods.
Once again, beautiful job on the quilting.

beautiful work Mike. My mom used to hand quilt some beautiful quilts. Wife quilted before the ALZ took her math skills but she machine sewed then had them quilted on a long-term machine. Even the quilting is quite expensive. They are a labor of love. If the ladies got paid for all the hours in a quilt us guys would be married to millionaires.
