Yeah...those "quilter types" have zero restraint when they're in a fabric shop... "just needed some more thread"....and then find an "end of bolt sale", or a garage sale of a like-minded person, that "had some fabric I hadn't seen, and didn’t know till I saw it, that I needed it"....hehehe.

Jeeesh....ALMOST as bad as some fishermen I know (and look in the mirror at, every morning..lol !).

I blame my parents for my own affliction, it surely must be genetic.

Mom with sewing stuff and most any "crafting items", "Roseville Pottery" and yesteryear kitchen and household items like treadle Singer sewing machines (She had 6 Singers and a couple of others, at the time of her death, all carefully restored to perfect running order and lots of "accessories". !)
Dad with his tools and old, but restorable harness and sleigh bells and horse-drawn vehicles (btw...we never actually had any horses of our own(lol), but lots of relatives and friends did and we borrowed/loaned, back-and-forth, frequently in my younger years).
Yeah...our whole family was afflicted with "G.A.S.", that widespread disease known as "Gear Acquisition Syndrome"....the only restraint/semi-cure, being is how much ROOM do you have ?

Reminds me of the comedian Steven Wright's quip......"You cannot have EVERYTHING.....I mean, where would you put it ?"

My better half is getting very good with her quilting but not surprising she is from a long line of quilters.
The blocks are hand sewed. And she machine quilted it freehand and with with rulers.
She used 10 bobbins of thread in this quilt and their is 210 yards of thread on each bobbin. The squares she used a ruler all the feathers she done freehand.

This is Beatiful and thank you for sharing🦅🇺🇸🇺🇸🇺🇸🦅

Wow, so much detail work! That’s incredible and absolutely beautiful.
