Hey wanna be fisherman: Did you get any replies to your entry. Don't worry about 50 yrs green because everyone was green at one point. Not sure what you're looking for here but is it someone to take you fishing. If so.Spent yrs operating charter boats and guide boats but now retired and will gladly take anyone fishing now just for company.
I fished Lake Valley many times over the years and loved it. but about 6 or 7 yrs ago the kayakers started going there and ruined it for all. Example. One after noon i finished fishing and started back to ramp and a suv backed down with kayak on top. 45 minutes later and they were still preparing for ??Finally a bank fisherman went over to them and told them to get that suv up ramp and out of road. Next year i had similar experience. Backed car down and then went thru nearly an hour before they pulled car back up. That time i did leave note on their car explaining to them that there was more than one boat that was going in or out of lake and explained what i thought of them

I wish I could just say get on the plane and we'll go from there, but unfortunately I have to let you down. If you lived close where we could just play it by ear it would be great but unfortunately , this is not what wither of us want. Will keep you posted
Whoa here. My health at this time is too risky to promise anything. I don't know from one day to next what's going on. Also, because of turmoil I caused have stopped all fishing for now. I'll be glad to answer questions but that's all I can offer at this time.

Changed my mind. Don't want or need anyone to go fishing with me. I originally stated i fished Englebright and Bullards bay and would gladly take someone who didn't have a ride. I got ekind of reply in the world about where people wanted to fish,not one of the 2 lakes I said I fished. I got all kinds of replies also about fishing on other peoples boats. but not one who said they didn't have a way to go out on boat and would appreciate the offer. So, gonna do it my way. Without others. Sorry , but this is how the world has became so unappreciative.
You are very fortunate to have the grandsons close to you. I have grandsons and now gr-grandsons but they are scattered all over the country and none any where near me. Enjoy yours while you can cause they sure do grow up fast.
I just want to ad that I'm in the cusp of my fishing career. Health issues are getting greater each day. Any day may be my last fishing(hopefully not too soon) ,
Great to hear from you. One of my sons lives near Kenai so am familiar with of which you speak. He enjoys the cold weather but me, not so much. Born and raised near Adirondacks in northern NY. Moved to California in 1960.Had a brain fart in 1990 and we moved back there. Stayed till 2004 and came back to Ca. and goy warm. Never want to see 20-30 below again. That period from 1990 till 2004 was the longest and coldest thing that anyone should have to experience.
