Busted the bass up pretty good! Lost 2 good one's at the boat but great to see them hitting early in the season!

Awesome! And I'd have to agree. If my wife said let's go fishing I'd drop everything and be on the water in a flash. 😆

Taking family vaca and staying for a week. I can't seem to find any recent reports for this place online. Any tips would be more than welcome if anyone knows anything about this place. I will be fishing offshore. Thanks!

Caught a few smallmouth and 1 keeper Walleye. Always let the bass go but kept the Walleye and got enough for 9 tacos out of the filets. Not too shabby 😉. OH! And a buddy of mine snagged a nice paddle fish inadvertently while bass fishing. Too bad he had to let that one go or pay a hefty fine. Here they are pretty good to eat. 😆. Got that suckered in on 10lb test too. 😉

Looks like I missed a few of those opportunities as I'm just reading this. Thanks for all the tips broken rod, but no biggie! We still had a ton of fun catching bass. More than we could count 🙂. Driving back towards Iowa this morning and going to .are a pit stop and try our luck at Lake Okaboji. Wish us luck! 😉

Fished West Battle Lake today. Killed the bass! Caught 1 pike.🙂 Still no Walleye or Crappie 😔. I don't use live bait. So that may be my downfall. Going to try Clitherall tomorrow

Awesome tip, I will definitely give Ben's bait shop a call as it has been difficult trying to find fishing reports for those lakes. We are actually going to be staying at the Battle Lake Inn on West Battle lake and I plan on fishing that one of the days we are there given it is supposed to be a trophy musky and good walleye lake. Being from California originally, my brother has never seen a lot of the species we have up close so it would be great to get him hooked into something like that for sure :-).

I will thanks for the tip on Molly Stark lake. That is really close to battle lake where we are staying so I may have to pop in. Hopefully the ramp is deep enough to get my boat in. I have an almost 19 foot deep V skeeter solera fish and ski.
