Rain = lower barometric pressure = more catches. I like to fish in the rain!!

Brad, sorry these azzhats are posting. Let’s hope the moderator steps up.
BTW, that Beltsville striper inspired me to chase them when the ice melts.

Thank you, one and all for wishing me a happy Birthday! At my number of years, you have no way of knowing if there will be another next year!

I am a firm believer that we are placed on this Earth for one or more specific purposes by our Creator. We can get busy and fulfill our duties, or not. However, when it becomes obvious we finished all the 'chores' we were assigned, or conversely, we are clearly not ever going to even try to do those assigned chores, we will be called home.

I have often wondered if the captain of the boat will allow me to troll when I am being ferried across the River Styx?

I’ve had luck in the “new water” along the banks. Lot of new food sources are being washed in among the weeds / grasses after a major rainfall.

Agreed, way to go for C&R fishing. No gut hooks, just a little different technique to bait the hook.

Been there a dozen times, 70 acres +|-, old quarry with a rocky bottom. Maybe 70 feet deep with flat shallow shorelines. Decent success with bass and good size crappie

Not much experience, but I have had success with black/blue senko and chatter baits.
