Looking for help in finding small ponds or lakes in Eastern, Pa. Currently have no boat so shore fishing important for myself and grandson. However will be purchasing a small rowboat so will be able to get away from only shore fishing, so prefer both type lakes for future fishing. Thanks for any help can give. Joe

Lake Minsi in Bangor, Pa. Good shore access however it was recently drained, maybe 2 or 3 years ago and is all catch and release for the time being. If your intention is getting a meal or two it may not be your choice. East Bangor dam is another choice, really close to Minsi.

Thanks much for the reply. Did they drain the lake completely or partially? Was it to clear weeds or some other reason.? How big is East Bangor Dam and type of fish? Any depth to lake?

Been there a dozen times, 70 acres +|-, old quarry with a rocky bottom. Maybe 70 feet deep with flat shallow shorelines. Decent success with bass and good size crappie

Thanks much for the reply. Will be checking this lake out. If ever have additional locations, do not hesitate to let me know and road runs two ways.

Thanks for the heads up. Starting to compile a list from all you good people that respond. In recent post I also noted I was looking for a cabin or moderate home on a vg fishing lake or pond. Low hp or electric motors only. Haven't started looking through realtors yet since haven't defined a specific area. Ideally a private owner would be great.
Sorry about the delay in getting back but just saw your post today. Have a good week. Anybass

Hello bknecht, old age got me. Just realized we had conversed back in August as I saw the old posts.
