I believe the St Croix "Mojo Bass" line are mass produced in China or somewhere like that. You have to move up to the "Premier" line to get the hand made in the U.S.A. Their only about $20.00 more.

I'm in the north east fishing really clear water so I use a lot of fluorocarbon 15-20 lb for jigs and heaver texas rigs.
Much easier with a bait casting reel.
