Yes their is Ice in Wisconsin I’m in Central Wisconsin and most lakes I’ve been on are averaging 7-10” now been starting to drive ATV And UTV’s out, only the brave been driving their Trucks out

All good suggestion, I know I always take my spud bar ( ice chisel) with me to check ice out in front of me as I venture out on it especially early in the season,
I believe St.Croix is running sales right now on their website and they have discounts on discontinued rods as well
