Yellow bananas are ripe when the peels have turned brown, the fruit itself is mushy. Are the blue bananas that way, hard when 'green" and mushy when they are ripe?

Can't stand the taste or smell of a regular banana, (too many mashed all over everything from bicycling over washboard roads on my way to school) but would be willing to try these. Can eat banana chips as in a trail mix and can eat Plantains. these sound really 'cool' if they taste like vanilla ice cream.

The piles of snow, no electricity and frozen pipes are just the beginning of the headaches. when all this snow has melted, it is going to mean swollen streams, flooding and probably more outages. sorry to be a 'wet blanket, but just a heads up, as it has happened in the area where I live, I am just fortunate to live way above the river and creek beds, so I don't get flooded out, but do know of others in the area who have been.

Thanks to all those who have served and Thank you for sharing the video, I too have tears. I agree that it needs to be played in certain places daily as a reminder of what America is.

You know the old saying about old fisherman, they never die, they just smell like they have! (please don't take offense!)

I have an older coleman, one from probably 30 years ago, Not sure if the mantles are any good or even if I remember how to use it as I have not been camping since about '95. not really that much enjoyment when you are by yourself. (No, neither one of by girls are campers)

here we keep getting a dusting of white stuff, but I will not complain. My oldest daughter (my 1-week in the summer fishing buddy) works for the Harris County Sheriff's department as a dispatcher. I can only imagine what is happening there. she has been pulling 6 12's since this started. Early on they informed her on Friday that she was off Sunday and back on on Monday (normally off Sunday and Monday.) she has been so exhausted when she gets home she hasn't done anymore than either a short text to her sister, or a very short text to me. Try to send her something funny on a text so she can share it with the rest of the crew for a laugh and brighten everyone's day. been quite difficult doing so lately as the gentleman that I have been working for for the past 7 years, passed away and it was his wish that I take over his small storage business, so I have been rearranging furniture, 400 hardcover books, and knick-knacks (also doing a halfway good job of dusting things as I move them), to move the office into the living room (don't want people going through the entire house to get to the office), and then to move things from his office to my office and set up a drop-box location, notify everyone that until everything is settled, it is business as usual, then later to notify them of the change in mailing address, office location and change in phone numbers. was more than willing to continue the business, but oh, the work, right now, part of the office is here and part of it is there and wherever I am, what I need is at the other location. thank the good Lord above that I do have electricity and water. Only have to be careful of the ice at both locations.!

Yesterday slipped on my sister's step, grabbed for the railing, slipped on the next step before I got my footing and then I literally fell on my behind on the step. Was quite fortunate that all i got was a bruise on my upper thigh/lower hip area and the seat of my pants wet (from the outside in)! had I have been hurt, would have been some time before I got help, I had forgotten my cell phone, she could not see me from her front window and the neighbor was at work not expected to return for the next 4 days!

Up here in Wyoming a few years back we were without power for about 10 hours (long outage for us) My sister was starting to get cold (she has her thermostat set at about 60 do you can guess at the inside temp), she called the power company to see if they at an et for when the power would be back on, the customer service rep asked her if she had checked her breaker box, Sis asked "Will that help the rest of the town?" We had power within an hour!

I am not a '4-wheeler' but I would know better than that. At least I would have backed up and got a good head of speed before attempting that jump!

This may seem like a 'dumb' question, but does anyone know how to remove dried gorilla glue from a surface such as metal or glass?
