Smile every chance you get, not because life has been easy, perfect or exactly as you anticipated, but because you choose to be happy and grateful for all the good things you do have and all the problems you know you don’t have.

Wife and I drove 600 miles to visit my sisters in Boisey Idaho for a few days; survived that; came home to Whitewater. Co.
After 17 years the tv quit and the cell phone quit.
Sitting on the deck and breathing fresh air and feeling GOOD.

That's a great day afield Bands!!
Unfortunately the mosquitoes are inevitable 😕

Looks like a great day. Our lakes at 8000' or higher, where I like to fish, are still frozen over. The mosquitoecycles will thaw soon enough. Ice off is just about to start and I'm more than ready.
Ever wonder why Noah didn't just slap those two mosquitoes???

My BIL passed away late last night in his home after a 3 year battle with the most insidious form of cancer (pancreatic.) He’s the one person I’d never guess would contract anything, he llived an extremely healthy lifestyle. My wife Betsy and I were down at their home in
Lancaster since Monday and just recently got home. Some of you may remember my posts of some family outings on the local waters, my sister Sandy and their grandson Ryan would travel up here quite frequently, we’d fish and grab lunch or dinner at a pizza/ Italian restaurant and simply just enjoy each other’s company. He was my BIL but also a great friend, and I am proud and honored to have been called his friend as well. He is most deserving of some sort of tribute.
Think I’ll have to do some fishing tomorrow to sort things out.

Who on the stage have watched the series Yellowstone on TV? I just finished it 2 days ago and I liked the show but the bad language was way over the top!!! I think the F Bombs out numbered the normal words.

I watched it until the first F bomb. That kind of language is never permitted in this house, period!!!

There are those among us who believe that prayer is hooey and a waste of time. Not so myself. Ezra is out of surgery. The operation went perfectly according to the surgeon. The donor valve is a little larger than Ezra’s heart so he will be able to grow into it and if he does need further work it will be in maybe 20 to 30 years. Everything is functioning normally and as soon as the anesthetic wears off mom will be allowed to see him and pictures will follow. Our gratitude goes beyond expression. Thank you Stage family. Once again my life is blessed by being part of this.

I am a believer in prayers.
Just ask Pastor Dan who had pancreatic cancer. He went to the hospital and saw the younger man just down the hall from him had the same thing Dan had only he died. Two of Dans doctors told him he had 24 hours to live. Today he is thriving as a pastor in Naturita, Colorado. You may remember me asking for prayers on this stage.

My BIL, william, was a uranium miner in Naturita, Co and doctors back in the late 70s told him he had 6 weeks to live, lung cancer. He has now got bladder cancer and is 86 years of age. Just two weeks ago he got RSV and went to the VA. They told him he had 1 maybe two days to live. Today he is walking and talking and getting physical therapy with a good appetite and may be released soon.

I could go on but the two men had lots and lots of prayers and surprised their doctors and nurses. We believe in prayers!!! Maybe those who don't believe in prayers haven't tried or maybe they didn't get the answer they wanted. INHO God sometimes answers "no", sometimes he answers "yes" or maybe "not now- keep asking". His choice.

It's done, fits nicely on my yac and rolls very nicely. As some of you noticed last year at the Eagle I had to pull/ slide my yac over grass to get it into the water and back to my truck. Problem solved. It doesn't break down to fit in the yac however the wheels come off very easily to make it a little more compact. I plan on leaving it in the truck after using it so that's not an issue. Pulled it around the yard some and with the strap on it doesn't move. Can't wait to try it out. I've got a few places around home waters that this will help with where I have to park and launch. I'll get some blue pool noodles once the Dollar Tree sets them out for the season. 🐸🐸🐸🐸🐸🇺🇲🇺🇲

Imagine we lived in a world where all cars were EVs, and then along comes a new invention, the "Internal Combustion Engine"! Think how well they would sell: A vehicle half the weight, half the price that will almost quarter the damage done to the road.
A vehicle that can be refuelled in 1/10th of the time and has a range of up to 4 times the distance in all weather conditions. It does not rely on the environmentally damaging use of non-renewable rare earth elements to power it, and use far less steel and other materials.
Just think how excited people would be for such technology, it would sell like hot cakes!

When the general public learns how fire and explosion prone their EVs are maybe they won't want to buy one and put it in their garage thereby fixing the problem. Maybe the media will start doing their job.???

Need prayers again friends. Saturday son and wife were at a fun park with the great grands. while playing miniture golf he had a seizure and fell hitting his face and left shoulder. taken to ER in ambulance. We went to his house to sit with the kids while his wife and daughter went to hospital. He had one about 4 years ago. The CT scan showed no brain bleed and no broken bones in his face. His left eye is black and so swollen he can barely see so depth perception is off. His whole face is swollen and purple on mostly the left side. Both knees are skinned and large bruise on left hip. They found that he was prescribed Tramadol for pain which can contribute to seizures. Also alcohol can contribute and he had a relapse last week and drank heavily two days in the last three weeks. (Recovering Alcoholic). The last time he could not drive until cleared by a neurologist and that was 3 months. As a traveling salesman for Kimble Midwest that will most likely put him on temporary disability until cleared. Plan called for by the doctor is: Get off the Tramadol. Evidently his seizure tendency was not noted when his PCP retired and he got a new doc although in the same office. NO Alcohol period! Get more rest and reduce stress which is tough when out of work. He has had considerable problem sleeping according to his sleep number bed. He is only 53 and our baby although he is 6'2" and 300lbs. The weight also may contribute to his problems. Also he has had lots of broken bones when younger. The worst was broken right femur, twice. Motorcycles when younger, of course. As you can see he needs our prayers. He is a Christian so he does pray but like most of us struggles with lots of pain and bone and joint problems. At least since moving back from Texas I can drive him and he won't be home going stir crazy. Hopefully this wont last 3 months like last time but it is and will be life changing. Jean and I are only 6 miles away and of course retired so are available to help out. Thanks in advance for your thoughts and prayers Stagers. I know it works.

On another topic, our son David in Indianapolis is adapting to his loss of sight in his right eye. Still keeping it dilated to help heal for another two weeks but he is driving carefully and working on the computer some though the eye strain slows him down. Computer drafting is his work.

Thanks again for your prayers for my family,

Randy

Very sorry to learn of the difficulties you and yours face. We pray for God Almighty to offer His love, mercy and healing for both Steven and David.

I have several single ladies close to my age most a little younger and other than a dinner date or a movie or a female fishing buddy, I have no plans tying the knot with anyone. It's these younger women coming out of everywhere and they're aggressive. I explained I'm content with the way things are and I'm old enough to be their daddy or grandpa 🤣 I know some are up to no good and tell them I'm broke as a convict, so better have your own money. Many tell me men their age live off mother or are too lazy to work. It doesn't matter, I'm content with the way things are with no plans to marry anybody at my age!

My first wife left me after 11years of what I thought was a good marriage. She said she just didn't want to be married anymore. After a while I agreed to it. We reached a settlement and she and her kids, from a previous marriage, left me. Six years later I met and married Mary and for nearly 24 years we have yet to have a hard word between us; we are blessed. We have both had some serious operations, big "road bumps" but have held on tight. We can do all things "through Him who strengthens Me".

I'm 79 and if she goes first, I'll probably just get a dog for company or follow wherever the good Lord Jesus leads me.
