Just wondering

Imagine we lived in a world where all cars were EVs, and then along comes a new invention, the "Internal Combustion Engine"! Think how well they would sell: A vehicle half the weight, half the price that will almost quarter the damage done to the road.
A vehicle that can be refuelled in 1/10th of the time and has a range of up to 4 times the distance in all weather conditions. It does not rely on the environmentally damaging use of non-renewable rare earth elements to power it, and use far less steel and other materials.
Just think how excited people would be for such technology, it would sell like hot cakes!

I'm afraid that they will someday stop makin gas powered cars. Then so many years after that they will no longer sell gasoline. All I can hope for if they do that is that I'm already dead when it happens.

I agree also, Steve. However I don't think we have anything to worry about on the no gas front. The government needs to convince the big utility companys they need to seriously upgrade the power grid to charge all those electric vehicles every night. What they have now will not keep up with demand now, how could it possibly hold up with more load?

In the meantime we are all footing the bills so the "lectric lovers" can ride around in their EVs trying to convince the rest of the liberals they are doing their part to save the world.

When the general public learns how fire and explosion prone their EVs are maybe they won't want to buy one and put it in their garage thereby fixing the problem. Maybe the media will start doing their job.???

I seem to remember last summer or maybe the summer before that the powers that be in California were asking people to run their ac at a higher temperature so the electric grid could cope with all the electric cars being plugged in every evening.
