The secret was that you were fishing with what they were feeding on. I've had the same luck with shad, but other times couldn't buy a bite with shad! At the same time other people fishing with worms were tearing them up and they just would not bite anything else! Same with shrimp! Just saying! It is great when you are fishing with the right bait and loading up on catfish!

I'm looking forward to the White Bass run and the Crappie Spawn! People are catching Catfish over here on Shrimp on the Trinity River and a little lake called Champion! I 've been too busy to go myself! Hoping to try some spinners the next few days to see if I can pick something up!

There is a Bait Shop on the I believe West (Houston) side of Sheldon Reservoir. It's about a block from the Reservoir! Maybe 2. It's the closest that I know of! Search Bait Shops on The Net in that area! That's how I found it!

Fish don't care if they get wet! Besides, you don't have to fight the crowds! Just be careful, everything gets slick!

I’ve been waiting and waiting to be able to get on Lake Houston to catch me some Crappie. I’m able now but the lake is polluted with PCB’s and other contaminants. I can still go fishing there but it’s not safe to eat the fish. Bummer! I’m going to check out another good fishing lake but it’s loaded with Alligators. Big Alligators. I don’t know how safe it would be to fish out of my Kayak. Here’s a picture of one. What do y’all think?
Hack 🇺🇸 🤔

Hack that's a half grown gator! Just about anywhere you fish around here, the fish have pcp's. According to the State of Texas you can eat 8 ounces (I'm not sure if it's a week or month) and you'll be ok! Contact Texas Department of Health and they can give you that information!
