i dont know about there id imagine much the same.... but here it is hotter than satans cavern outside and 85-95% humidity... i dont feel like eating either..... just layin round in the shade... check the barometric pressure theirs a point wherein fish are actually nauseated and wont do nothing but meander around their safe place..... this is all true inland, offshore, rivers, creeks and lakes alike....i fish based on how i actually feel,... weather is decent good pressure, heck even a little wind or rain is ok, it feels good to me, usually catch, its blazing, high baro., humidity that will choke a cow,... does not feel good, usually ironically dont catch many fish.... i dont know if its just me and my brain... but thats how i see it.... usually pretty accurate.... good luck out there....

I hate to be the one to break this to you, but those (pictured) are neither perch nor crappies 😉
As for size, I would recommend you fish deeper. The crappies may be suspended and the perch are typically on or near the bottom.

yep, this is the trick nationwide on crappie, if you aint hooking sizeable fish your not “on em” get a little deeper as it warms up, find some deep structures like submerged trees, stone piles, good ledges things where fish feel safe,.. the perch take a small treble hook, drop a 6” leader off bottom with a weight on it, rip a earth worm in 1/3 and string it on in these same areas, them perch will tear it up...let the weight sit on bottom, worm will be right in their mouth..... i find typically this time of year if you find crappie, on bottom under them theres the perch, bream and gills..... just my .02,

not as extensive as a hard plastic yak, but what it lacks in necessity it makes up for in convenience, i have a aqua glide chinook 100.... its bad ass... and the pack.... its bad ass too.... no racks, beds, nothing to jack with other than fish.... it doesnt not have everything i need... you cant do some things that would be nice to do like a trolley system, or steakouts.... buuut improvise... its great

Speedy, you live near Lake Fork. I've heard it is the best lake for lunker bass in Texas, maybe the nation

for me (light blue eyes) good glasses are a necessity its literally the difference in enjoying the day and not... im under a welding hood most of my life and when i surface its bright out here... when the sun is on the lake and if there is any texture on the water without glasses i can barely even open my eyes.... i have forgotten them once or so, and will seriously pack up and head out because..... so personal preference, but some stuff to take into account... how sensitive are your eyes, do you sight fish, do you predominately fish in a sunny environment, or in overcast conditions.... what are your eyes worth to you, mine pay the bills, so i even have prescription window tint on both of my trucks also, and keep about 4-5 pairs of sun glasses in the truck.... its worth everything to me... $$$ is no object here..... good luck!

Take one lens and hold it against another pair...should see thru with no problem. Then, twist the one set 90 degrees to the other lens and now it should be completely dark...black actually. But whatever glasses you get, make sure they are 100 per cent UV rated. Your eyes will thank you for it.

Polarized sunglasses are useful, but not necessary. They let you see through the “glare” and into the water better (better....they are not x-ray Superman vision). You can get a decent pair for pretty cheap ($10) or spend hundreds. Since you have prescription glasses, maybe try an inexpensive pair of polarized glasses that fit over your regular glasses or a set of those “clip on” ploarized lenses?

walmart.... 10$, well worth it if you ask me.... polarized all day, fishing or not unless im welding lol.... thats a diff story anyways
