I’m near Houston and we have a Fishing Tackle Unlimited. It has anything and everything for fishing. They’re a little proud of some of their items but they have had anything I went in for. Their website is www.fishingtackleunlimited.com
I don’t know if they’re local or not.

Well brownie there is a pretty crappie few choices for crappie. I would follow hacks advice and keep Looking online. Anymore in this modern life online seems to be easier than driving all over to find gear. Figure out what Eastern Oz uses for them he has pictures of a bunch of them. I haven’t targeted them for years. My dad and I caught an ice chest full of them about 45 years ago and don’t remember the lures.

It depends on where you’re fishing. Live bait works in some lakes better than others. In one of the lakes I fish, I can only catch them on minnows at night. In the day time they only bite artificial bait. In this particular place I use a sabinki type rig, with the little shrimp on it. They come in different colors and you can get some at Walmart. Just drift a west wind with them. Sitting still don’t work. Trolling with a swirl tail grub works well in some lakes too. Especially where the water is clear. Good luck!

That’s good to know TxSpeedy. I have tons of Crappie tackle, but you can never have enough, right? I’ll checkout your places. I’m fed up with Academy. They never have what I’m looking for.

I have filled many ice chest with a jig under a bobber. I use 1/8oz head with a 2" plastic. I have also used and catch with a 1/8oz chatter bait. A 'maribou' jig works well also.
