I agree also. You might try a double hooked fish finder worm, but most likely, they are small. Change locations but remember that one for the future.
Thanks for the tips. I think I will print out your list; just in case I need it in the future. Thanks for sharing
Lol. I heard that. I wish you all the luck in the world and talk later on my friend
Lol. That’s funny. Maybe ask your significant other to do it for you. Mine always asks me how my day went and I usually write it on the calendar while I tell her. I have a stack of old calendars . I’m too lazy to combine the information into some sort of book.
Thanks for the information. I’m not sure I’ve ever used these baits, but I plan to check them out.
This may sound a bit unusual, but I keep a calendar log about every fishing trip; whether I catch anything or not and refer back to it when I go fishing again. I keep the date, water clarity, conditions, place I fished, baits , depth, thermocline and so on. I refer back to this information, from years past and it gives me an idea of what to use or maybe not use on future trips.
I fish Lake Hartwell in S.C. and in Ga. other lakes are Thurmond, Keowee and Jocassie. I love to bass and crappie fish. I have a great grandson that is 7 years old and we fish together a good bit. My wife will retire in about another year and we plan to travel and fish lakes all over our great U. S. A. Chico
I plan on hitting Lake Hartwell; S. C. Side in the next few days. Let me know how you do. Thanks
That’s great to know and I wish you the best of luck. My Great Grandson and I were worm fishing the creeks that run into Lake Hartwell last week. The water was really muddy; as you know; but we had good luck. We used a Carolina Rig and a 6 inch curly tail Kudzu Worm. I will try to post some pics. He is only 7 years old and wore me out. It’s a good thing that we are best pals. Also, we didn’t take our boat: we just walked around the banks. Hope to talk with you soon. Good luck and God Bless. Chico
Hi, I am also from S. C. I fish Lake Hartwell, Keowee, Jocassie, Thurman and a few others. I live in the upstate near Clemson. Chico
Two days ago; it was touching the 80 degree F mark and today it is in the mid to high 59’s. Also, the lake level has dropped approximately a foot. These two conditions changed our catch percentages dramatically. I was fortunate enough to catch some schooling fish between the mouth and back of coves. Here, they have left the points; or I’m not giving them what they want. I caught the majority of the fish from a 6 inch long transparent bait; 9 hooks on it and most importantly, it had a propeller on each end of the bait. I don’t know the correct name of this bait. I will post it and maybe someone could give me its name. I tried a Buzzbait but wasn’t the same. I also threw a half ounce Rattle trap; chrome with a blue back on a 6 ft limber rod and a 5:1:1 ratio on the reel. I hope this might help someone else catch a few; during these two major changes. Thanks. Chico
