Great idea, we go to a brewery in Sheboygan Wi and they do something similar. Some one buys a beer for: select a name, occupation or life experience. For instance a person named “xxx” or a veteran or nurse, or some one who takes care of elderly. It goes on a chalk board until it is erased. Both are great ideas.

Willieb. They normally run Mother’s Day plus or minus a week or two, Others say when the Lillacs bloom. Also when the river temps hit upper 50s low 60s. A good place to look is the Wolf River, Fremont thread on Lake-link.com. Need to be careful if you are boating. Lots of ignorant boaters during the run
Welcome, I have been doing the wolf run for almost 60 years now on and off. Great time. Check with Chicos in Orihula he’ll get you going with advice, bait and rigs. If you’re boating be careful it can be a zoo out there.
Shiners for LMB but need to be patient. Don’t set the hook when the bobber goes under. Count to 5-10 then real up slack until you feel the fish then set hook. Bass will play with shiner then begin to swallow it.
I had my vent line fill with water. Someone moved my vent line without meaning to and put a U pointing down in it. Filed with water from waves. Would run then bog down. Open fuel cap and good for few minutes. Turned U upside down and all good again

Howies in Sturgeon Bay on 42 is good reference on Door county fishing. I never had luck other than the bay or in Sturgeon Bay or the other bays along Green Bay
We are heading up for a week on May 14. We go up each year and they are usually hitting around Mother’s Day. But Mother’s Day is early this year.
Cold spring this year. Hoping to hit them when they are active. We always have a great time fish or no fish

We have been fishing out of Roland Martins since Dec 27. Fishing slow using shinners until yesterday when 4 of us got about 30. Many smaller males in 14” to 19” range. Three 22” and 4.5 pounders. East wall and South Bay. Some are catching on Asenjo or rattle traps casting weed clumps. FYI locks at Clewiston closed for week beginning Sunday night.
