Spots, dime a dozen up there this time of year
Greats pics
Some of that coastline is private. Be sure to check first
I have an Ascend that I bought from bass pro shops that works awesome. I'm 6'3 380 and it is stable very wide and 12 feet long. It weighs 85 pounds it will carry 450 pounds. Plenty of storage. I've used it for duck hunting and 3 day pack in camping. I LOVE IT!
I use bobbers for many applications. It's great for steelhead and shad fishing in rivers also for bait fishing suspended bass. As far as the hook set goes, trout take a bait, fly or lure and they turn 90 degrees away from where they took the bait. So all you have to do is raise the rod tip, when you feel the fish, pull away from the fish. Bam, you'll hook them. Also, I use a circle hook and this technique works better than most. TIGHT LINES!
Earthquakes will displace water like that and also landslides or large boulders falling into the lake. Those can be above the water or underneath the water.

I'm going too. Back to Natoma or Collins, haven't made up my mind.
Planter fish at Collins but huge native Rainbow Trout at Natoma if you know how to fish it. Good luck

It’s used to retrieve lures that are hung up

The one on the left is indeed a Diawa. It says so on the lower left of the reel. The one on the right is a Mitchell 300. That reel has the little reverse switch on the opposite end of the bail. The reel on the left has no such drag. 2 different reels in the photo.

This coming fall will be my husband and I 10 years anniversary and I want to offer him the fishing trip of a lifetime. If you could go fishing anywhere in the world, where would you want to go?

Brown Trout fishing in New Zealand. Fishing in the rivers and streams over there can produce trophy, once in a lifetime fish. When your not fishing there are spa treatments and gourmet food at the lodges over there. It is, the perfect “once in a lifetime trip”.
