Fished today in the Key West area. No dice using various lures and Gulp. Started using an ounce and a quarter Hopkins with a single dressed hook. Was fishing on a dock and out from underneath comes mangrove snappers fighting each other to get the lure. Five casts, 4 fish landed. Moved to another location in the marina and I couldn't keep the jacks away if I wanted to. Fun day and lesson learned to try everything in the box before quitting. Been at least 5 years since I used a Hopkins lure.
Does anyone know where you can buy the old hopkins lure. Thanks

I know how it is to find a good fishing. Partner mine pass away last year. Found a good one my wife she went with me one time and got hooked. I am 77 she is 75 she. Controls the trolling motor. Hope you find one soon. She is a better too look at than my old partner
