Have you ever had a chicken pot pie. It is like that but with oysters. And it is delicious. You want the recipe?

Post your recipe. Gotta say I don't even make chicken pot pie.

Lol! I know what you mean about that shrimp and mullet. I'm hungry for some now! I'm definitly going to have to go there. I really need to catch some mullet and smoke my own. 🤤😋
So do you ever use this baits on the Courtney? Every time I pass the fishing turnoff right before the eastbound "hump", I start wishing I was there. Lol.

My granddaughter & I fished there and it seemed like nothing but blow fish were on the bite. We did catch a couple of trout wading out from the park at the bridge behind the bait shop with Elvis. The park is hidden.

Thanks FinFisherman, do you find live bait or lures work better in this area? I've used only live bait in the gulf, when I fished more, but again... that was years ago. I think I am going to try a couple of local ponds in my neighborhood as well. I've been hearing of some nice Largemouth being caught there.
Is that the one with the Elvis statue in front, for the mullet and Shrimp?

Yes it is. Elvis use to be our closer to the road. They smoke the mullet and shrimp right there and have it in cooler by the register. I usually get a package of frozen shrimp and a package of whole squid, a dozen of live shrimp and sometimes a dozen of finger mullet and of course half dozen of smoked shrimp 🍤 and a smoked mullet all for me.

Hey, I've been fishing almost 40 years, but have only been out once in the last 10. My son took me out a couple of months ago and the bug got me again. I'm in Clearwater, Fl so I think I might try the Safety Harbor Pier or Courtney Campbell Causeway. I'm rusty, so I'm going to start small. Glad to have found this site and happy to be here.

Don't forget bait shops for info. Tho I've fished the Gulf and Tampa Bay and up and down the coast I still do the bait shops. I found some amazing smoked mullet and shrimp in one bait shop on 60 our side of the bridge.

Still not ringing a bell, i am not a fan of clams maybe that's why i don't remember.

More of a oyster guy. Thanks for getting back to me.

The taste is similar to clam. Chews like leather unless it's properly fixed same with clam. Leather with flavor.

Why is a gas station like sex?

Sometimes you get full service, sometimes you have to ask for service, and sometimes you have to use self service.

I wouldn't know what to do with full service and when I ask for service all I get is laughter.

My wife has had the Corona virus since this past Monday. I woke up this morning feeling like someone had chewed me up and spit me out. Now I have it full blown 🦠. I’ll probably not be too active on the Stage, which will make the attic police happy I’m sure. Just letting y’all know.

Thoughts and prayers are with you and your wife. Don't dwell on it and be positive. It might be less than you think.

Hi. My name is Marna. I'm a "young" senior citizen, who grew up in Eastern WA fishing with my dad. He taught me to clean a trout at a very young age saying "if you caught it, then you clean it". I loved fishing, but sort of fell away from it in my later years. Now, I'm widowed after 45 years of marriage, and a very good friend is helping me get back into it. I'm so glad to find this forum, and I'm enjoying reading all the "fish" talk. We will be going into the Ocean Shores, WA area this coming week, and I'm wondering about the fishing opportunities in that area; i.e. Copalis Beach and the surrounding area. I've heard Steelhead is a possibility. We have gear and tackle for many kinds of fish. We're just not familiar with what's there. I'd appreciate any information anyone might feel like sharing. And of course, I totally understand if people don't want to share. My son and daughter are avid hunters, so i get it. Thanks for whatever tidbits anyone can share!

I lived in Soap Lake for almost 2 years and was most impressed with the trout fishing in Park Lake and recently did a bucket list trip taking my son and daughter to north end of Blue Lake and remember well ice fishing alkali lake. Why go so far when the fishing is fantastic in your back yard?
