Hey Pixiedog456005 ,
I really enjoyed your story about making shrimp from bendable straws.
Any chance you would share instructions on how you make them?
I fish a lot at the mouth of the Suwannee River with my son and its our opinion that shrimp are the best bait for reds, trout, flounder, and Sheepshead. The only problem is shrimp are very expensive and difficult to locate because of their popularity with fishermen.
I thank you in advance for your assistance with this matter.

Love those shrimps!!
They catch everything!!
Live, dead or artificial shrimp is hard to beat!

Even an artificial shrimp made from a household bending straw. I make the in the winter time while watching TV.

Any chance of getting instructions on how to turn a bendable straw into one of those very nice White Shrimp you constructed?

A fool proof way to know if what you are being served is truly scallops or some stamped out ray or otherwise is to cut the scallop in half, then look at the exposed white meat for tell-tale evidence. If the flesh is tubular and looks like a vertical stack of soda straws in an old drug store dispenser, its a scallop. If the exposed flesh is flaky or non-tubular, its something beside a scallop and you have been scammed.

I would have bet serious money my location was listed. Thank you for straightening me out Fredfish. I have updated my home info. Hopefully this might help me to get invited on a fishing trip and help me to make some new friends.

I have had the same experience over the years - no offers to participate. I live in a huge subdivision (4,500 homes) and when I first arrived I drove around, introduced myself to homeowners with a boat, informed them Iwould help with fuel costs, bring sandwiches/drinks, whatever I could do to make their day enjoyable and affordable. All of this has provided me with zero opportunities to go fishing, fresh water or salt.

I have also made this same offer to nearby members of this forum with the same results.

I always said to myself when I was forced to bank fish that if I ever got a boat I would cruise around and pick up every fisherman/woman on the bank and take them along.

I often see people fishing ALL ALONE in a beautiful boat and I wonder how much more fun it could be with a partner, not to mention how much safer.

I always laugh to myself when I read/hear about how good outdoors people are with sharing Mother Nature's bounty with others.

Do you know what all is required to preserve a rattlesnake skin? I would like to tan the next big one I collect or someone gives me. My dad did one about 6' 6" long when I was a kid and when I graduated from high school I donated it to the school.
Thank you for any info you can provide.

I used to work in Bedford, MA and the city guarded their cemetery 24/7/365 because of tombstone thieves. Bedford is located a few miles from where the "rude Bridge" where the shot heard round the world was fired. Many of those early patriots are buried in Bedford and their tombstones are the thieves' targets. I was told they turn them into coffee tables that are highly valuable and sought after.

It is widely known that hand carved tombstones are the first true American folk art. All I know is, if they catch one of these thieves, he/she should need a tombstone...

No, its a fact. Before I could hear it; or before I could see it; or before I could turn off the radio; I _ _ it my pants.

All of that can be replaced, at least no one was hurt or worse. My offer still holds if you need anything.

Hi Cubsfan, Very sorry to hear about your run-in with the tornado. Sure hope you and yours are alright. If there is anything I can do please let me know. I have a large generator if you can use it... No chainsaws but several sizes of bucksaws. Whatever you need just holler.

Hi Mister Twister, I just might be interested in that left-handed reel you have. Send me the details and cost.

Thanks
