Hi guys and gals, I recently retired to Spring Hill, Tn and I'm looking for easily accessible catfish bank fishing for plopping down a chair, wetting a line, and take naps while hoping for the big one. Any spots come to mind?

I'm in NE TN so I can't help you much. Check with local bait shops. TWRA may have some info on your area such as parks or boat launch areas where you have plenty of bank or dock access. Good luck.

Nice to see you upright. I went out yesterday for the first time in over a year. Caught two perch about three inches long each. I could have taken pictures but they were so small that they wouldn't have shown up on the picture.

My heartfelt thanks to each of you. You folks make my days special. Each of you add to the richness of my life.

Happy B-day Mike. Your daily contribution softens things for me. Remember, the door is always open if you want to stop on your road trip.

Had a nice little shakedown run at Beseck today. It wasn't quite as warm as yesterday and the
8-10 breeze was gusting to 15+, but I got out anyway. No luck with topwater or a swimbait, so it was Dinger time. I missed the first bite, probably early hookset. Caught a 2lb Largemouth skunkbuster, and then settled in. Caught 2 more cookie cutter males, and decided to shift gears. Pulled out the medium light, and the ultralight rods and went Crappie hunting. The blowdown trees were on fire. Caught 10 up to 1 pound or so. The wind was picking up so I picked up the worm rod one more time, and caught the big fish of the day, a 2lb 12oz chubby female. After that I called it a day.
Definitely a successful shakedown and first trip.

There’s a little bit of Calvin in all of us. Maybe we should let it out more often…..

Worry is a waste of energy…..Just sayin’

If I had a dollar for every time I worried about having enough money, I'd be financially set for the few years I have left. My energy level is declining so putting worry behind me is probably a good idea.

[quote=saw1]Hey guys. My Mom isn't doin that well at all. So I'm headed back to Texas Tuesday till the end of the month to visit her. If she makes it she turns 96 on May 20th.
Not sure how much I'll be on the stage the next 2 weeks but I'll try to check in now and again on everyone and see how y'all are doin.
I want Y'all to behave yourselves while I'm gone. None of that back bitin and bickerin either. Bless your heart, Y'all be nice. [/quote

Nothing but positive thoughts for your mom. No back bitin or bickering plus I have to be nice too. That's a lot to ask from this crabby old fart.

Unfortunately not.
I even volunteer for the abuse during summer LL tournaments, I know that I signed up for the risk of a physical injury but all of the verbal abuse makes me wonder what’s wrong with some of the spectators…

I did some umpiring for LL and Babe Ruth Leagues. 99% of the problems came from parents, not players. People who thought they knew the game and the rules.
