We can tell spring is breaking out around the country cuz the new fishing stories are growing in number every day but for me, the real mark of spring was always baseballl. So, is it baseball yet?

Who did what where? I haven't heard the answer in a long time but the memory made me smile.

I miss the fantastic humor of Abbott and Costello.
That routine was one of the best.

It's a classic that has stood the test of time. Just like us Wulffy

With most teams this season that's a great question 🤔 🤣

We played Spring ball in HS. Taking infield practice in the gym on the basketball court as there was still snow on the ground outside. Talk about developing hand-eye coordination as balls with raised seams take funny bounces off hardwood floors from being hit by a fungo bat. Then perhaps a few outside practices before our Opening Day. We had a few games every year with snow flurries flying and temps in the low 30s…
The sting of an inside fastball off a wood bat in 35 degree weather still brings back bad memories 😅
Yes, it is Spring…play ball!

No kidding!
I was a sucker for an inside fastball. Probably never hit one fair, but couldn’t lay off them. I figured it to be intimidation on my part, telling the pitcher he couldn’t get one by me.
Let’s not talk about the curve ball I kept fouling off my left big toe as it took years for the nail to grow back after it finally fell off in Summer. Ahhh… the memories 😂

Nothing like a foul ball off your hand in 30 degree weather as a catcher. Don't ask about the other place the ball seems to find.

Those foul balls always seem to find the umpire too. We wear all kinds of protective gear and every so often during my 100 game season (spring through fall) I get hit directly where the gear ain’t.

This particular photo is my upper arm hit twice during a softball 🥎 tournament weekend. Nothing soft about a 🥎.
