St Louis ponds are okay, I fished them a few times every year, although trout stocking has stopped because the water gets too warm in the summertime. There are bass and bluegill, lots of little bitty bluegills and there are some rather large channel catfish. About 4 years ago I landed in 11 lb channel cat.
