This time of year it's hard to beat the small rivers and streams at the coast for sea run cutthroat trout. Salmon River is a good one
Hi Papabear65, when you say sea run cutthroat trout do you mean they live in the ocean part of the time?
Yes they do. They run the rivers during summer and fall. The odfw website has great information on them.
Thanks for the information. Considering they live in the ocean part of the year that tells me they probably fight harder than other trout. I am definitely going to have to do some research. And make a trip over to the coast.
