My Mother always got "Motion Sickness", Flying, sometimes just riding in a car.
Later on in years she suffered with Vertigo.

But here's the catch....
After trying every trick in the book she discovered that putting a small piece of cellophane tape over her belly button, that she never got motion sickness again. (Probably read that in Reader's Digest HaaHa)

Her latest flight was at the age of 91 years young. She flew from The ATL (That airport alone can make you sick) to Tampa Bay International airport. Not a bit of trouble.

She has flown all over the world and on a lot of military t***sports, Go Figure.

You never know Big A, you just might ought to give it a try. No one would know. What could it hurt?

Blue Skies always,

Thanks for the input - will consider trying next time I fly anywhere, but
it's usually the long flights cross-country/5-6 hours) that bother
me, as I can't sleep that long on
a plane !

Next (anticipated) flight should
only be a two-hour 'hop', which are seldom a problem and where the 'SeaBands' are usually adequate !

Sitting in Chicago O’hare one time on a layover. The gate next to ours already had a plane sitting at it. Came across the board that that particular flight was delayed. As I walked by,you could see a couple guys working in the cockpit. About that time, you could see sparks flying all through the cockpit. About 5 minutes later, that flight came across as canceled. I am glad that wasn’t the plane I was waiting on

Things that make you go - Hmmm !

Glad I wasn't on it, either ! I've been
on some flights that were smooth
as silk - then again, I've been on
a few where we had to deal with
some serious turbulence, including flying through a storm where the
wing was struck repeatedly by lightning and another where we
hit an 'air pocket' and suddenly dropped several feet like a stone - kinda nerve-wracking, not to
mention leaving your stomach
feeling like a cement mixer !

Can you imagine watching that duct tape peel away slowly at cruising altitude? YIKES!!

I'm 250,000 miler
Gold Medallion
Platinum Club Flyer
With over 350 jumps from Altitude all across America.....

THERE IS NO SUCH THING AS A PERFECTLY GOOD AIRPLANE!!

Although, I am very fond of the A10 Warthog. It may not be perfect, but it is hard to bring that plane down!

BIG A - I highly recommend Valium on your next flight.

Blue Skies and Soft landings always,

Not a nervous flier, just physically uneasy - pills like dramamine and/or bromine just jump-start the nausea !
Have been plagued with motion sickness since I was a pup - was told it's caused by an inner-ear problem,
as it also affects your balance ! May have been the result of an early
accident/concussion, as I've had this problem since I was very young !

Last time I flew I was wearing those 'SeaBand' wristbands - was still
slightly out-of-sorts, but not nearly
as nauseous as without them !

Hey duct tape kept our plant running 🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣😅😅🤣🤣🤣

Be that as it may, it doesn't mean
I'd want to risk my life on a duct
tape engine repair - I'm not really comfortable with flying to begin
with, and zooming around at
500mph/30,000 ft. up with
a duct taped engine doesn't exactly inspire confidence ! Thanks, but
NO THANKS !

Glad I found this photo before planning my next trip - now I know who NOT to fly with !

Duct tape ? SERIOUSLY ? ? ?

Guess I'll be taking more United or Delta flights for awhile - American Airlines will be missing a regular passenger until I deem them safe
to fly with again !

Keep this in mind - the reason you can't teach an old dog new tricks
is that for many of us 'old dogs'
there ARE no new tricks, just variations on the old ones which
we already know !

I saw a Sasquatch Crossing sign this morning. I din't have my phone with me or I would have snapped a pic. (Which I guess that means the sign didn't exist!)

Still it begs the question, if such an animal doesn't exist, then why would they put up a crossing sign?
Nah, you don't reckon the parks and wildlife Dept. was just foolin' with folks do ya?
Can't Be true.

To me, the jury's still out on that
one ! Neither believe/dis-believe,
just need to see it proven or dis-proven beyond a doubt ! Since the Sasquatch legends go WAY, WAY
back in Native American folklore/
legends/mythology, it is very
difficult to dismiss the possibility
of its' existence out of hand !

Well, I can certainly attest to the fact, that armadillos DO, IN FACT...EXIST!!! ¿Where's this individual live?... ¿Ain't they "been around some"?... I'd guess not... One thing you men better remain mindful of, about them rascals: certain "populations of them" had been "found to be carriers of ¡¡¡LEPROSY!!!; several years ago. I personally, avoid the little blighters.

Apparently, he has done some considerable amount of traveling including some of the states mentioned, but has never seen
one in the wild, in a zoo, or even
road-k**led !

Regarding the 'leprosy' problem - supposedly, the seven-banded armadillo from the Amazon region
is the main culprit/carrier of the leprosy v***s, with about one out
of six (roughly 16%) being infected -
in the U.S., we only have the nine-banded armadillos, which are less likely to be carriers ! - Hey ! Humans gave it to them, first ! That said, it should only be able to be t***smitted via direct contact with their bodily
fluids and/or excrement !

Found another (fairly recent) article regarding armadillos - it seems that the Smithsonian's National Zoo also welcomed new arrivals - two
Screaming Hairy Armadillo pups
were born at the zoo on August 11, 2021, and were the first ever born
at the zoo !

Yesterday I posted photos of the 'infamous' Vermont Beaver Trout
and it was taken as expected - with
a 'grain of salt', just like jackalopes and other so-called h**xes !

However, it seems we have at least one member who doesn't believe in the actual existence of armadillos
and who considers them to be a
h**x, also ! If I lived in a state that
had them (Texas/Louisiana/Florida/ Oklahoma/Alabama/Arkansas), I would find a freshly road-k**led one, freeze it and ship it to him ! Since
that is currently not feasible, I opted for a different type of proof, which
he will probably also reject !

Due to my lack of technological
sk**ls, I could not down-load a particular article I found, but can
relay some information on where/
how to find the article ! This came from www.newsweek.com - it has
the article and a short video of the baby armadillo !

The Washington Zoo (Point Defiance
Zoo and Aquarium) Welcomes First Baby Armadillo in 116-yr. history !

Just wondering if he's ever watched the music program 'Austin City
Limits', which touts proudly in each intro that it is broadcast 'from the Land of the Armadillo' ? Why would they do/say so if it wasn't true ?

Maybe some other member living in one of the above-mentioned states would care to ship him one as proof ?
Just PM me in advance, and I'll send you the shipping costs (as long as it's not an outrageous amount) - maybe we can de-bunk this as a non-h**x ?

I see we've got a few other
comedians on this Stage, like
whoever posted the craw-catfish !

Here's one who's reputation and/or legend goes WAY back to the Civil
War - the Vermont Beaver Trout !

They say it only grows fur in the very deep, cold northern lakes along the Canadian border - stories about this legendary trout go all the way back
to the early Civil War, and this was
an article printed about it in 1927, nearly a hundred years ago ! This
one was supposedly caught out of Lake Memphremagog, right on the Canadian border with Vermont !

Looks like s**mmers and/or funny taxidermists (or both ?) have been around for quite a while !
