Gas prices go up around here every Fall as the refineries have to manufacture the more expensive “Winter blend”…
Earlier this week I heard the prices are going up again because those same refineries have to make the more expensive “Summer blend”. Hmmmm…I believe our chains are being jerked again…or, we have been told so many lies they can’t keep them straight anymore 🤦🏼‍♂️
I guess I should feel lucky that I just filled up for $3.99/gal 😡

I heard that just yesterday OJ. You and I were thinking the same thing. Summer blend was always cheaper and better mileage.

Summer and winter blends apply to diesel fuel only number 2 diesel gels in cold weather number 1 prevents that

I believe that all petroleum products come out of the same barrel, so we all get to pay for it in numerous ways…at the pump, delivery surcharges, taxes, etc.

It is an odd thing when the price per barrel goes up the price at the pump goes up the same day But.... when the price per barrel goes down the price at the pump stays up for several days. You would think the swing would be just as quickly down as up unless the gas companies are taking advantage of both situations to simply boost profits but of course we know that no patriotic company would inflict more pain on the Populus just to make a few extra bucks but it is odd

It’s just plain greed. We’re up to 5$ a gallon here in Washington and diesel a 1$ more than that
