Between wd & 4, you two seemed to know your poop. LOL

Now you got me checking out this Perky Pet product.

Well, I been feeding hummingbirds for over 30 years now. Doing anything for that long you're bound to accidently learn a thing or two. I've learned that sometime in July those little birds will turn into flying pigs. It's amazing how much those little buzzards can eat. By the time October gets here you're glad to see them leave. I had a guy tell me that I had a swarm of bees around my porch once. He was seeing the hummers from a distance. When I told him they were hummingbirds he said that he'd never seen that many hummingbirds in his life, much less at one time.

Perky Pet Grand Master 220 feeder. 48 oz. I got tired of having to use a bottle brush go clean the feeders and a funnel to fill them.

The big ones have a twist lock bottom section. When you take the bottom off you can get your whole hand in them to clean them out. Plus, I have to fill all five every three days. I keep three gallons of food mixed up in the fridge at all times. I have a video of them.

Thats where mine are hung, hooks screwed into the facia board. I use the large Perky Pet feeders because they hold a lot of juice for one and two because they're easier to clean than the small mouth glass feeders. The large plastic feeder.

Yes, they won't fly back out. I work on motorcycles and I think they see the taillight reflector and think it's a flower or something. They attempt to fly into the house only to get their beak stuck in the window screen. But, they manage to get out alright. The only other problem I have is the poop all over my front porch. I've got the feeders hung out from the porch a bit but they'll unload as they fly off and sometimes thats on the porch and porch furniture.

I've had them light on the feeder while I was hanging it. My Granddaughter sat on the bannister holding a hand feeder feeding them. I don't have the patience for that. They'll also get into my shop when I'm out there working on something. I have to get up in the rafters to catch them. If not, they'll be dead by morning. They won't fly back down and out the door. They try to get out of the roof vents but the vents are blocked with hardware cloth. I've found several dead a a few nearly dead. If you get them in your hand they calm right down and don't fight. I've put the weaker ones on a feeder and it drinks a little juice then about five minutes later off it goes. Amazing!

Yep. They seemed to be a little late getting here this year. I got worried that something bad had happened. Although I've used 100 pounds of sugar so far this year I had used about 125 pounds at this time the last two years. I've been feeding them at my place for over 30 years. You and I probably have the same species, Ruby Throated Hummingbirds. They sure are fun to watch.

It is that time of year. I've got five of the largest feeders that Perky Pet makes and I have to fill them every three days. I've gone through 100 pounds of sugar so far. Bought two more 25# bags of sugar yesterday. Tried to upload a video but I couldn't do it.

The problem is in the translation of the manual. It was first translsted from Chinese to Japanese. Then from Japanese to French, then from French to German. Then finally to English.

In 1990 I bought a Ranger 364V with a Johnson GT150. Beautiful boat, handled like a dream. It was fast as well. I ran just over 60 MPH with the original 24 pitch prop. Dropped back to a 22 pitch prop. Lost a few mph top speed but the hole shot was amazing. Got burned out on fishing and sold the boat. I've missed it ever since.

Where are the reeds in a four stroke?

Four stroke engines don't have reed valves. Those are one design of two stroke engines. There are three different types of two stroke engines. I've been building motorcycle engines for many years. I love two stroke engines. Pound for pound they have a lot more power than the four stroke engines. Too bad they've been phased out. I have a 9.9 hp four stroke on my little boat because that is the power limit on the lake I fish. It's pitiful.

Don't the juniper berries taste kind of like a pine tree? Juniper berries are what they flavor gin with I think. These berries were bigger than caraway seeds. I don't know exactly what they were but the sauerkraut was as sour tasting.
