now that's a nice pontoon boat , a great overnighter , night fisherman rig
that's interesting. I will have to try that great idea, buddy thanks for the tip !!!!!!
depends where your fishing, go with slim line sinkers, and weedless hooks with weed guards. ps when reeling in keep your rod at least a 10 o clock position hopefully this will help you
trash people throw in the lakes & rivers ,some people are disgusting, one year at our lake when it was really high wife & her girlfriend and I rode around on the lake picked up 5 large garbage bags of just trash, bottles, cans, container cans, fishing line , plastic 6 pack rings, etc......
I have a 9 ft pond prowler with a 5 hp air-cooled engine on it it runs fine with a 42 # thrust trolling motor you by yourself will be fine, would not go with 2 adults in it with a 5 hp ,though definitely be overloaded. would recommend a 4 hp; outboard with a built-in gas tank or a 5hp built-in tank, these new 4 cycle outboards are a tad heavier than. the older 2 strokes.
great looking fish congratulations, nice rod & reel set up.
using a standard type battery is asking for trouble it won't last long enough on a charge. & after repeatedly charging it won't last you a year .definitely go with a small deep cycle battery or you will be using your paddle a lot
have fished the rivers here in w.v. with cajun red mono, they claim it disappears after a foot below the water
i,can see it really good above the surface whos knows have caught fish on cajun red,,, so who figures ????
that should work ok 8#, but I would make sure your drag in not to tight also a longer rod will help you keep that fish from going too deep after hook set, you definitely won't be able to horse them fish in with8# line take your time with a net, should be ok
it's quite simple the more thrust on your trolling motor the less power you'll use to get where you're going, the longer you can stay on the water to fish. ps make sure your trolling motor has a battery gauge on it this will always let you know how much juice you will always have in your battery, you can also buy aftermarket battery testers too
wow that's a good deal you are going to need a bigger tackle box one-note if it was me, I would definitely get a good fine-tooth file & go over all them hooks on them lures to razor-sharp that gotta keep you busy awhile l.o.l. nothing like losing a nice fish because of a bad hook set over dull hooks trust me I have had it happen
depending on water clarity dirtier more blades have a lot to do with. it clear water less blades also overcast or blue skies has a lot to do with it, also temp .water all factor in
now your talking, you know what they say a picture is worth a thousand words. boo, yaaaa,
thats a super hard question one thing try to limit yourself to lures over the years that catch fish constantly topwater mid-level bottom deepwater well here goes two top water, two middle depths, two bottom lures then you have to buy two of everything for all the types of fish you want to try to catch, just remember some fishing tackle catch more fishermen then catch fish,, a good Plano tackle box 5 drawers with spinnerbait tray on top will cover a lot of your needs. also a mid-size canvas bah for your plastic frogs worms jerkbaits slinkos with worm hooks #2 #3 #4 size ,hope that helps you good luck, all else fails go to a plastic or use a real worm
loop knots are always good a small barrel swivel is a must when throwing inline spinners rooster tails panther martins & such on a spinning reel, if you don't twisted line bac lashes big-time other then that a quick clips is what I use have not had one bend out on me in 20 years get snagged your line will bust before a quick clip fails
