At the top of my to-do list would be to cozy up to that landowner somehow. Fix fence, mow grass, change oil in his car - š¬
Go back at night and throw something huge and see if you can nail that elusive 10 pounder that never seems to show up in the Midwest.
Bet you could build a whole boat out of tape if you wanted to.
Whatās it take to catch a 5 pounder outa them pads?
Heard of knotheads like that. Was he just a goon or was he making a point, like you were in his spot?
What were they hitting, Norm?
Iām more interested in the fish you are releasing. š¬ I do a lot of Ohio pit fishing. What are they hitting out there?
Did ya keep half a dozen alive for that 40lb flathead later?
Welcome pastor. Hope you can get past the ad pics.
Donāt know much but what I have heard. The lake I would like to fish the most is Hoover. Take half a lifetime to learn it since it is huge.
But every time I ask someone who fishes the lake if they have heard of ten pound bass being caught there, they say yes.
A 10 pounder in Ohio? Now thatās exciting because I donāt know of anyone who has caught a double digit bass in Ohio.
And blue cats? Say now. Didnāt know they were in Hoover but that makes it all the better.
Buy a big net!
Put one of those keepers on this , and then try for that trophy big one!
Good catch Whitey.
Iām sure the fish are happy when youāre busy, Mike.
Yeah , I know Mike. I have three bushel baskets full, plus my shoulder bag. Took a pic of your post. Now I have to try all four - of yours š¬, more stuff in the baskets.
My fav four are 1) chartreuse and white Strike King spinner - the big one with two hooks, plus a meaty looking trailer added. 2) the big blue whopper plopper. 3) the biggest plastic worm I can buy, then make it bigger by cutting a chunk off another one and sticking them together with a lit match. 4) the baby bass finish shadlicious swim bait in 6ā. Caught my pb on on that one in May five years ago. 8lbs 4 ozs aināt bad for Ohio.
Keep posting Mike. I look for ya.
I burn through there on the toll road all the time. Next time Iāll honk just in case one of those guys is you. š¬
Yeah, give us your best report. Catching any?

Also, is that how you musky fish all the time - no wire, just braid straight to a clip?
Ok. Just a snap. Heard of another guy who wouldnāt use wire. Loses a few fish and lures but says he boats three times more musky.
