It's good this time of year. Spokane paper had a good report last week. Try Fort Spokane area across from Two Rivers Park. The shore along the Lincoln boat launch can be good too.

Sorry. The Nooksack and all tributaries are close until further notice. Make sure you are in tune to the WDFW emergency alerts.

Does anyone have any reports of Steelhead fishing from shore on Whidbey Island? Specifically the shore from Fort Casey to South Whidbey State Park and that point south? It should be time for them to start showing.

Nice pics. Love Lake Pend Oreille. Lived in Spokane 30 years and caught some beauties there. Next time you head that way go to Priest Lake, ID. Spectacularly beautiful. Good mackinaw fishing and really big Kokanees

Sad, sad thing to hear. SO glad I don't live in a place where I can't fish year round.😢
I am usually out fishin at least once or twice a week all year long.🤠👍

Don't feel bad. He must live in the great PNW, near the ocean and tons of rivers. There is fishing year round. The Steelhead run is next up.

Steelhead is the game in winter. Pound for pound one of the best fish to tangle with.

Had a bald eagle steal my hooked mackinaw trout that had just come to the surface about 5 yards from my boat. Beautiful sight to see. Also had a pelican steal a herring in mid air when casted out for marlin fishing in Mexico. That was a pain in the arse!!

Kokanee are actually land locked sockeye salmon, not trout.

I agree with Dozer. I launch single all the time. If you are organized and efficient it's not a problem. If anyone tells you otherwise that's their problem. Don't feel rushed. That's when you make mistakes.

I've gone through the Pass at least 15 times this summer in my 20 foot aluminum fishing boat. You just have to be respectful of mother nature and understand the tide and know when it's happening. To go through there in canoe would be insane. Sorry for that loss but you don't get a 2nd chance there. You commit and go. Don't lolly gag under the bridge.

It's not a lake Papa. It's the north end of Whidbey Island part of the beautiful San Juan Islands, Pacific Ocean.

About 8 of us were shore fishing around 5pm to 7:30 on North Beach Deception Pass. One guy got small coho. Don't think the run is in yet. But colder weather and rain coming soon. That should get them moving in.
