As of the 1st of the month, Lake Whatcom is closed for the winter and will re-open in late April 2023... Winter is getting close and I finished winterizing the boats ... I can't wait until spring..

Yeah, the electric companies are worried about having enough oil and LNG to keep the powerplants running. We still have 1 Nuke plant running but it only covers about 30% of the state. Hopefully they can figure something out.
I hope you and yours have a safe and warm winter as well.

Yeah it's going to be a tough winter.. here we are okay except for the price hike.. 35% on natural gas and about the same on electric service.. our home has radiant heat via nature gas.. maybe that 8% social security increase will help.. lol

I use oil, and I filled up last week @ $5.27 a gallon. It's gonna get worse before it gets better. An 8% raise ain't gonna cover it. That's ok, I'm more worried about the power going out.

You are right.. having the oil doesn't do any good at all if you lose power and that seems to be on the horizon in your neck of the woods... make sure you keep your EV charged.. lol

The Solar Plant on my roof is a better and better investment by the day. Well I agree the costs are a pain. Crazy stuff Fred. I still need to winterize NoHurry here. Woke this AM to snow here in The Foothills of Hood. Stay warm everyone. If ever considering good investments, consider Solar my bill went from 250-300 a month to 12 bux. It was a great investment then but all the hikes make it even better. Mama never wanted a wood or pellet stove here so I said then I am buying Solar. I recommend it to everyone. Grid tie is what I am on.

The Solar Plant on my roof is a better and better ... (show quote)

I thought about solar a few years ago Jeremy. Since we're leaving the state I decided against it. I never thought I'd live to see the day that the electric company would run out of gas. That's about all I CAN say about it.
