This morning's forecasted high, 10° less than the 11pm forecast last night.
The 5-10mph wind forecasted, is blowing 15-20.
The surface temperature of the water (62°-65° last week) was 52° at the ramp, and 55° when I hauled out.
Needless to say, the fish were as confused as I was. I didn't see or mark a single fish, from the dam south for 1.5 miles. I threw everything that I had rigged, without any responses. As I worked my way south, battling the gusty wind, I found some Yellow Perch, but they were just tugging on the tworm. I didn't have the ultralight with me so I kept moving. Finally, within a quarter mile from the ramp I managed to find one Bass, hanging around a blowdown next to a deep dropoff. That's it, one and done. Hopefully better luck next time.
Almost forgot, the Merc ran great, 25.4mph with a heavy headwind.
